Alexcia
2nd Grade Classroom Aide
My name is Alexcia Ortiz, but to the kiddos I am Teacher Lexi 😀 This is my first year at Oasis Charter Elementary. Salinas has been my home since I was three, but Sacramento has been my home for the past six years as I studied History with the intent of teaching middle school grade levels. (However, I think that changed since I’m loving lower grades) 😉 I am expected to receive my BA in History with a minor in Greek History and concentration in Education in Fall 2020 *wooo* Being at Oasis has been the best time and I’m very glad to be here. To be able to broaden not only my mind on scholarly fun but seeing young scholars excel has been one of the most beneficial things I have yet to witness. You can catch me at recess playing tag or hanging out in 1st and 2nd grade classrooms where we are conquering one 1+1 at a time. OH HEY catch me doing yearbook stuff with what the kiddos which they like to call my camera “cammy” so if you see me shooting my shots, say cheese! Also, I have a dog her name is Lily Doe because I love Harry Potter. Also I love reading, taking photos & editing them, and hanging out with your kiddos, because they are great. Thanks! 😀

Chianelle
Specialized Instruction Teacher
This is Chianelle Flores-Marti the Resource Specialist/Special Education Coordinator. This is her fourth year at Oasis Charter Public School but her 6th year teaching Special Education. She was born and raised in Visalia and received her A.A. Degree in Sign language from Monterey Peninsula College while playing softball. She then received a full scholarship to Oklahoma Baptist University for softball (pitcher) where she graduated in 2013 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary K-8 Education and Special Education Mild/Moderate. She received her credentials in Elementary Ed K-8/Special Ed Mild/Moderate at the same time she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Oklahoma. She came back to the area to live and start a life with her husband since this area is so beautiful and has the best weather. When not teaching, she is spending most of her time with her new addition, her son, Giovanni. Also, she enjoys coaching softball, working out, taking her dog for walks, lounging with her animals and husband, visiting family, going to beach, going to sporting events, traveling(when she can), and watching a lot of movies.
